Kent Farmers Market Association (KFMA) is dedicated to supporting, promoting and growing stakeholders in our local food community. By becoming a Member you have access to facilities which will help you promote your business and your produce, save costs and direct customers to find you.

• WEB SITE LISTING:- This gives you a facility to promote your produce not only to customers, but to Market Managers, Farm Shops and 'Other Producers' looking for local produce.
Markets and Other Producers are displayed on both maps of Kent as well as as larger scale maps to help you locate them. Images of your produce and outlets are displayed together with descriptions, links to your own web site and to your own Social Media sites.
• Cost Effective INSURANCE PACKAGES aimed at Stallholders, Farmers and Community Markets and 'Other Producers' (e.g. Farm Shops, Vineyards, Micro Breweries, Fruit juice and cider makers

• FINDING NEW MARKETS & PRODUCERS We have a facility for helping both Producers find new Markets and Other Outlets for their produce and for Markets and Other Outlets find Producers
• A SUPPLIERS CATALOGUE which offers you cost savings on a variety of products you may need to run your business
• ADVICE & GUIDANCE information to help you both start up and build your local food and drink business plus information regarding Food and Hygeien Regulations
• SCORES ON THE DOORS are displayed on Producer web sites for customer and Outlet benefit.
• FOOD SAFETY REGULATIONS comprise a summary of food regulations provided by KCC Local Authority Health and Hygiene Departments
• SUPPORT Please CONTACT US. Between us we have a wealth of experience dealing with Local Authorities, regulations and Producers
• A NEWSLETTER to help you find new products and Producers and to help Producers find new outlets for their products
• A SPECIAL EVENTS listing in date sequence with links to help you organise participation.
• Promote your produce in our own EATDRINKLOCAL magazine which will be available at Producer and other outlets
Our Insurance packages are Membership only packages. They are also available to any in the UK who joins KFMA and includes:-
All with a £5 or 10million indemnity limit
(*) This is a legal requirement which covers helpers/volunteers as they are classified as being ‘employed’.
These Insurance packages have been created by our brokers, G M Imber, which are relevant to specific types of Producers, Markets and Farm Shops. Some require you to complete a simple form but others may require more detailed discussions to set up a package to conforms to your specific requirements.

Another benefit for joining is participation in our own printed and on-line magazine EATDRINKLOCAL MAGAZINE which is aimed to promote Producers and Local Food Outlets to both existing and potential customers and explains the economic, health and environmental benefits of eating and drinking local produce.
Your membership enables you to become part of a network comprising hundreds of like-minded businesses and thousands of customers who want to find local, fresh foods and drink in the 'Garden of England'
Everyone listed on the site is welcome to join our Facebook Support Network group
We rely on members subscriptions to continually pay for our web site development and operation but to produce a free quality, magazine full of interesting local food and drink articles requires additional investment. Consequently we rely on Sponsors to fill the gap.
